Iowa State Arizona State Football Game

AMES, Iowa — Iowa State will host Arizona State on Saturday, November 1, at noon CT in a rematch of last year’s Big 12 Championship Game. The Cyclones, who are 5-3 this season, are looking to snap a three-game losing streak after losing to BYU last week.

The Cyclones’ recent performance has dropped them from the Top 15 in the national rankings, severely hurting their chances for a Big 12 title. Coach Matt Campbell is optimistic that his team can bounce back.

On the other side, Arizona State, also 5-3 on the season, suffered a disappointing 24-16 defeat to Houston, leaving them in a tight race within the conference. The Sun Devils are missing starting quarterback Sam Leavitt due to a foot injury, which will put sixth-year senior Jeff Sims in charge.

Iowa State is eager for revenge after being dominated by Arizona State, 45-19, in last year’s championship game. In that meeting, the Cyclones failed to recover from three turnovers that led to Sun Devil touchdowns.

Arizona State is coming into this game with their own set of challenges, having lost two of their last three games. With Leavitt out, Sims will take control, having thrown 32 touchdowns overall in his collegiate career.

Kickoff is set for noon CT at Jack Trice Stadium. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, and the game will be broadcast on TNT along with a livestream on HBO Max.

Iowa State is currently favored by 7.5 points according to betting odds, with a total score expected to be around 48.5 points.
