Bayern Munich Aims for 17th Straight Win Against Union Berlin
BERLIN, Germany — Bayern Munich is set to face Union Berlin on Saturday, November 8, 2025, seeking to extend their remarkable winning streak to 17 matches across all competitions.
Currently leading the Bundesliga with an unblemished record, Bayern has dominated with 16 consecutive victories this season. They recently defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1, even after losing a player to a red card in the first half.
Union Berlin, situated in 10th place, hopes to capitalize on their home advantage at Stadion An der Alten Försterei. They have recently shown resilience, with one loss in their last four games, including a 3-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Union coach Steffen Baumgart emphasized Bayern’s strength, particularly spotlighting striker Harry Kane. “I take my hat off to him. It shows that there’s no age limit for development,” he stated, praising Kane’s versatile playing style.
Bayern’s coach Vincent Kompany expressed confidence in his squad despite several injuries, including Jamal Musiala‘s long-term absence and Luis Díaz‘s recent suspension due to a red card. “We are managing the demanding schedule well,” Kompany remarked.
Union will be without injured players Robert Skov and Andrik Markgraf, while Christopher Trimmel is suspended. However, they plan to lean on their midfielders and fast counter-attacks to challenge Bayern’s defense.
The match kicks off at 2:30 PM BST, but it won’t be broadcast live in the UK.
