2025 FIM World Supercross Championship Kicks Off in Buenos Aires
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — The 2025 FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) launches this weekend with the Buenos Aires City GP at the Oscar & Juan Gálvez Racetrack. The race is set for Saturday, November 8, and starts at 7 p.m. Eastern Time (4 p.m. Pacific) for viewers in the U.S.
Fans can expect a thrilling kickoff to the five-round series, with exciting lineups in both SX1 and SX2 divisions. Notable riders include returning stars and newcomers, including Haiden Deegan, who makes his 450 debut this weekend.
Deegan’s debut, riding head-to-toe in Fox Racing gear, has garnered much attention, especially since he will also participate in the Australian GP later this month. “Is he ready to be a legitimate 450 podium threat?” fans are eager to find out.
Another historic moment will occur in the competition as the Stark Varg all-electric motorcycle competes against traditional gas-powered bikes for the first time. This technological leap is poised to change the dynamics of the sport.
Live timing will be available during the event on the WSX homepage. For spectators attending in Buenos Aires, gates open at 1 p.m. local time, with a full schedule leading up to the main races, including practices and qualifying sessions.
Tom Burwell, CEO of World Supercross, expressed excitement for the increased accessibility for fans to watch the races this season via Recast, highlighting that they can enjoy live races, analyses, and behind-the-scenes content. A 90-day season pass is available for $30, while fans can opt for individual events at lower prices.
As fans gear up for the opening round, this season promises to deliver intense competition and outstanding performances from the world’s best supercross athletes.
