Richard Torrez Jr. Boxing Match

TULARE, Mexico — Richard Torrez Jr. (13-0, 11 KOs) is set to battle Tomas Salek (23-7, 14 KOs) on Saturday, November 15, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, at 5 p.m. The match will be available to stream for free on the Top Rank Classics FAST Channel via The Roku Channel, Tubi, or Vizio.

Ranked fourth in the heavyweight division by the International Boxing Federation, Torrez aims to maintain his unbeaten record after his last victory against Guido Vianello at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas in April. “The win over Vianello gave me a newfound confidence,” Torrez said. “I’m currently ranked No. 4 by the IBF, and that gives me the confidence and the drive to move forward and prove to everyone back home watching that their cheers aren’t in vain.”

This upcoming bout marks the first time Torrez will fight in Mexico. As a Mexican-American from a three-generation boxing family, the event holds special significance for him. “This is my first time fighting in Mexico,” Torrez stated. “I’ve been here once or twice before, but I’m excited to come here and show everyone what I’m about.”

Although he took a seven-month break between fights, Torrez is eager to step back into the ring. “My opponent is a veteran,” he acknowledged. “I’m excited to show what I have to offer. I’ve trained really hard, and come Saturday night, you’re going to see a lot of punches thrown.”

Fans eagerly awaiting the match can tune in online as Torrez looks to extend his winning streak. The boxer’s determination and cultural connection to this fight promise an exciting event for both him and his supporters.
