Purdue Boilermakers Basketball Baha Mar Championship

NASSAU, Bahamas – The No. 1-ranked Purdue Boilermakers are set to face the Memphis Tigers on Thursday, November 20, at 6 p.m. ET in the Baha Mar Championship. Purdue, with a perfect 4-0 record, aims to secure its fifth consecutive MTE tournament title.

This highly anticipated match will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Viewers can expect commentary from Chris Sylvester, Kyle Macy, and Ana Bellinghausen. The game will take place at the Baha Mar Grand Ballroom, which has a capacity of 2,000.

Purdue is looking to extend its impressive start to the season and has had considerable success in recent years, aiming to begin with a 5-0 record for the fourth time in five seasons. The Boilermakers have won 10 consecutive contests during “Feast Week,” and they hold a 31-9 record in neutral-site games since the start of the 2021-22 season.

Memphis (1-2) enters this week hoping to rebound from a 92-78 home loss to UNLV. Senior guard led the Tigers in scoring during that game, contributing 16 points and six rebounds.

This match marks the first meeting between Purdue and Memphis since a 90-70 victory for the Tigers in December 2005. Memphis carries a four-game winning streak against the Boilermakers dating back to 1988.

Following their game in the Bahamas, Purdue is scheduled to host Eastern Illinois on Black Friday at noon. The upcoming tournament features a competitive field, with No. 15 Texas Tech also participating in the event alongside Wake Forest.

With a potent offensive efficiency rating of 127.8, Purdue ranks fourth in KenPom history. This week, they have a chance to improve upon their statistics while maintaining their status as the nation’s top team.
