Bernd Boente Boxing Manager Dazn

BERLIN, Germany — Bernd Boente, who dedicated 18 years to managing the careers of boxing legends the Klitschko brothers, has stepped down from his role to become a commentator for DAZN.

The 69-year-old was influential in orchestrating major fights for Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, both in Germany and internationally. Boente’s journey in boxing began as a press officer for Universum Box Promotion, where he first began working with the Klitschko brothers.

After their contracts with Universum expired, the Klitschko brothers initially joined Sauerland Event but eventually transitioned to independent operations. They established K2 Promotions and Klitschko Management Group (KMG) with a broadcasting deal from RTL, marking a significant shift in their career paths.

Boente’s departure from management means that upcoming heavyweight prospects Peter Kadiru and Viktor Jurk must now search for a new manager to guide their careers.

The change comes at a pivotal time as the boxing community looks forward to future matchups. His insights will now be part of the commentary team for DAZN, bringing his extensive knowledge to fans and viewers alike.
