Brenton Strange Set to Return for Jaguars After Injury Recovery
PHOENIX — The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially activated tight end Brenton Strange from injured reserve, allowing him to return to the field for Sunday’s game. Strange had been sidelined for the past five games due to a hip injury sustained during the Jaguars’ Week 5 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Prior to his injury, Strange led the Jaguars with 20 receptions and was second in receiving yards with 204. His return comes at a crucial time for the 6-4 Jaguars, who are looking to build on their recent successes.
This week, Strange participated as a limited player in practice. However, it remains uncertain if he will play on a snap count or have any limitations due to his recovery process. With Strange back, the Jaguars may be able to utilize more three-tight-end sets, enhancing their offensive strategies.
The Jacksonville run game has recently thrived, highlighted by a 192-yard performance against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Strange, a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, was emerging as one of the league’s promising young tight ends before his injury.
As the Jaguars prepare for Sunday’s game, they have also elevated defensive lineman and a defensive back from the practice squad. However, the team has ruled out several players, including defensive end Dawuane Smoot and receiver Zay Jones due to injuries.
Fans are eager to see how Strange’s presence will impact the team’s performance moving forward.
