Aamir Khan Reveals Evolved Bond with Shah Rukh and Salman Khan

Kochi, India — Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently reflected on his evolving relationship with fellow icons Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan during an interview posted on the YouTube channel Just Too Filmy. Speaking candidly about their early years, Aamir admitted that fierce competition characterized their rise to fame.

“Of course there was [rivalry]… Each of us wanted to outpace the other two. Isn’t that what you call rivalry?” Aamir stated, underscoring the intensity that once defined their interactions.

The three actors, who were all born in 1965 and made their debuts around the same time, have now shared the screen for a combined total of 35 years. Aamir emphasized that despite any past tensions, their relationships have matured into a genuine friendship. “Having journeyed together for 35 years, there is a sense of warmth between us,” he noted.

Aamir recently revisited a poignant moment during the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He explained how he was invited at the last minute to join Salman and Shah Rukh on stage, highlighting the ease with which they worked together. “We (the three Khans) sat down together for about half an hour and prepared that skit that you guys saw. The comfort with which we were saying yes and no to each other made me realize that we were in a comfortable place now,” Aamir shared.

He added, “Once the rehearsal was over, I told them: ‘Now, the three of us can do a film together.’ They also agreed. I think the audience would love to see us together in a film.” Fans have long waited for a project featuring all three superstars together.

Aamir’s acknowledgment of their past friction is notable. “I think many of them [conflicts] have been well reported in the media. It’s not like I am saying something new here,” he quipped. He emphasized that disagreements are part of any relationship, but that the intensity of their rivalry has dissipated over time.

While Salman and Shah Rukh have appeared together in several films, including “Karan Arjun” and “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” and Aamir co-starred with Salman in “Andaz Apna Apna,” a film featuring all three has yet to materialize. With the recent evolution of their relationship, fans are hopeful for a collaboration.
