Pittsburgh, PA – Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has officially signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, agreeing to a one-year deal worth up to $19.5 million for the 2025 NFL season.

The announcement came after Rodgers informed the team he would be flying to Pittsburgh to finalize the deal before mandatory minicamp. Sources confirmed that while Rodgers’ contract parameters had been established for months, he communicated his intent to play for $20 million.

At 41, Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, enters his 21st season looking to add to his impressive resume. He currently stands just five touchdowns behind former NFL star Brett Favre for fourth place in all-time touchdown passes, boasting 503 career touchdowns.

In addition to his touchdown chase, Rodgers is nearly within reach of passing both Phillip Rivers and Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger on the all-time passing yards list. He is only 488 yards away from Rivers and 1,136 yards short of Roethlisberger’s mark.

Rodgers, who is also a 10-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro, helped guide the Green Bay Packers before making the move to Pittsburgh. Last season, he threw for 3,897 yards, with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

The Steelers, who aim to break their own record for the longest playoff win drought, hope Rodgers will play a crucial role in turning the franchise’s fortunes around. His signing is expected to bolster the team’s performance as they pursue a playoff win for the first time in several seasons.
