Actor Arjun Mathur Marries Longtime Girlfriend Tiya Tejpal

New Delhi: Actor Arjun Mathur has married his longtime girlfriend, production designer Tiya Tejpal, in what is being described as an intimate wedding ceremony. Although the couple has not made an official public announcement, Karan Tejpal, the bride’s brother and a director, shared a photograph of the event on his Instagram Stories.

The image depicts the newlyweds dressed in traditional attire, with Tiya wearing a saree and Arjun sporting a kurta pyjama. They are seated in front of a mandap, an important ceremonial structure in Hindu weddings, surrounded by marigold floral decorations. Karan Tejpal captioned the image, “Best surprise ever… Meri pyaari behna ki shaadi. [My dear sister’s wedding] Let the celebrations begin.”

Following the Instagram post, the photograph has gained traction on social media with Reddit users also sharing images from the event, which took place on Thursday night. It quickly became a trending topic among netizens.

Arjun Mathur, known for his role as Karan Mehra in the popular Prime Video series “Made In Heaven“, expressed through a statement that their marriage was “simply time for us to solemnize.” He emphasized the importance of keeping the ceremony private, saying, “We were extremely fortunate to be able to keep it as small and intimate as we wanted. We believe that intimacy is beautiful, as long as it stays private.”

Professionally, Arjun Mathur has received acclaim for his work in “Made In Heaven,” having won the award for Best Actor in a Series at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in August. The series also features actors Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalki Koechlin, and Jim Sarbh.

Tiya Tejpal, daughter of journalist Tarun Tejpal, has established her career in production design, contributing to well-regarded projects such as “The White Tiger,” “Raman Raghav 2.0,” and “Karwaan.” She initially worked as an assistant director on films including “Life of Pi” before transitioning to her current role in production design.
