Actor Gary Sinise Mourns Son Mac Sinise's Passing From Rare Cancer

Renowned actor Gary Sinise is grieving the loss of his son, Mac Sinise, who succumbed to a rare form of cancer at the age of 33.

Mac, whose full name is McCanna Anthony Sinise, passed away on January 5 after battling Chordoma, an uncommon type of bone cancer with limited cases in the United States.

In a heartfelt tribute, Sinise shared that Mac, an exceptional drummer, had been diagnosed with the rare cancer in 2018.

Having surgery initially to combat the disease, Mac faced a challenging journey as the cancer resurfaced and progressively spread.

Specifically affecting only around 300 individuals annually in the United States, Chordoma posed significant health obstacles for Mac.

Despite his deteriorating health, Mac managed to explore another musical talent by learning to play the harmonica.

Working on an album named ‘Resurrection & Revival‘ with friends, Mac’s dedication to music continued even amid his health struggles.

Gary Sinise, well-known for his captivating roles in movies like ‘Apollo 13‘ and ‘The Green Mile,’ expressed immense sorrow at the loss of his son, whom he described as a son, brother, and friend for eternity.

The Sinise family is facing this loss with heavy hearts, appreciating the support and love they have received during this challenging period.
