During a recent interview with WrestlingWeekly, Deonna Purrazzo discussed the possibility of AEW introducing women’s tag team titles, highlighting the complexities and opportunities such a move could present. Purrazzo emphasized the need for substantial storytelling and character development behind the creation of women’s tag team titles in AEW.

Purrazzo suggested that if AEW were to establish Women’s Tag Titles, it would be crucial to avoid the common pitfall of haphazardly pairing female wrestlers together without meaningful narratives. She stressed the importance of allowing the female talent to shape compelling stories that showcase why certain teams work well together.

Referencing the chemistry between Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale, Purrazzo noted the significance of establishing genuine relationships and alliances within the women’s tag team division to make the audience emotionally invest in the teams and their dynamics.

Purrazzo’s insightful comments come after her victory over former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa at last month’s AEW Double Or Nothing 2024 event, where she demonstrated her in-ring prowess and continued to be a prominent figure in the AEW women’s division.
