Lacrosse Player Scoring Goal Celebration

St. Mary’s City, Maryland — Aiden Doyle etched his name in men’s lacrosse history by becoming the all-time leading goal scorer during a stunning 26-7 win over Penn College on March 25, 2025.

Doyle, a key player for the St. Mary’s Seahawks, scored six goals in the match, bringing his career total to 134 goals. In addition to his scoring prowess, he also recorded a personal best with 12 points in the game, marking a significant milestone in his athletic career.

“Scoring that many goals in a single game is something I’ve always dreamed of,” Doyle said in a post-game interview. “But it’s really about the team and our hard work that got us here.”

In the same matchup, senior Keegan Preis matched Doyle’s scoring output with six goals and added five assists to his tally, showcasing a powerful offensive performance by the Seahawks. The win also marked St. Mary’s first victory in the United East Conference, improving their season record to 6-3.

The Seahawks are scheduled to face the No. 15-ranked Lynchburg on March 30, a match expected to challenge the team’s momentum and ambitions for the remainder of the season.

“Lynchburg is a strong team, but we’re ready to embrace that challenge,” Doyle added. “This victory gives us a lot of confidence moving forward.”

The triumph against Penn College not only enhances Doyle’s individual accolades but also positions St. Mary's College as a strong contender within the league, presenting a promising outlook for future games.
