Air Force Falcons Vs Colorado State Rams College Football

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Air Force Falcons (3-8) will visit the Colorado State Rams (2-9) this Friday for a crucial matchup that features the Ram-Falcon Trophy.

This game marks the end of the season for Colorado State and the final game under interim coach Tyson Summers. After falling to New Mexico 20-3 last week, Air Force needs a win to maintain their hopes for the trophy, which they won last year after breaking a seven-year losing streak.

Last Saturday, the Falcons struggled offensively, scoring only after Reagan Tubbs kicked a 27-yard field goal in the third quarter. They managed just 161 total yards against New Mexico and had two turnovers. Defense shone with Isaac Hubert recording two sacks, while Kemper Hodges led the running game with 50 yards on 20 carries.

On the other hand, Colorado State is looking to overcome a difficult season, having lost five straight games, including a 49-21 defeat at Boise State last Friday. The Rams, who have yet to win under Summers, tied the game early before a 27-point run by the Broncos gave them the upper hand.

Despite Darius Curry‘s 293 passing yards and two touchdowns, the Rams’ efforts were hampered by turnovers, including interceptions. Owen Long anchored the defense with 12 tackles, but the unit surrendered 533 yards to Boise State.

Earlier this week, UConn‘s Jim Mora was announced as the new head coach for Colorado State, bringing hope for the future. Currently, Air Force leads the all-time series against Colorado State with a record of 39-22-1.

This year’s matchup promises excitement as both teams vie for the trophy and future bragging rights. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
