Alan Franco Scores Fastest Goal in Brasileirão 2025 for Atlético-MG
Belo Horizonte, Brazil — Alan Franco made headlines on Saturday when he scored the fastest goal in the 2025 Brasileirão, netting just 23 seconds into the match against Ceará. The goal led Atlético-MG to a 1-0 victory during the 30th round of the Série A, marking the club’s 100th goal at the newly inaugurated Arena MRV.
The match began with a strategic play from Atlético as Scarpa launched the ball down the left flank to Dudu, who then set up Franco at the edge of the penalty area. Franco’s shot left no chance for Ceará’s goalkeeper Bruno Ferreira.
This goal surpassed the previous record of 37 seconds set by Gabriel Menino earlier in the season. Franco’s record might not only be significant for its timing but also for marking an important milestone for Atlético, as it was the club’s 100th goal scored in the Arena MRV since its opening in August 2023.
Following the match, Atlético ranks 15th in the league with 33 points, closely resting above the relegation zone. The team has yet to taste defeat against Ceará at home for over 15 years, last losing in 2010. The upcoming fixtures will be crucial as Atlético prepares for their next challenge: a semifinal match against Independiente del Valle in the Copa Sul-Americana.
As for Alan Franco, this goal not only places him in the spotlight but also adds to the anticipation surrounding the Atlético squad as they aim for continued success both in domestic and international competitions.
