Alberta Soccer is calling for volunteers to participate in the first-ever Player-Development Program Championship hosted by Canada Soccer. This exciting competition will bring together 28 clubs across four divisions in Edmonton, Alberta, from 14 to 18 August.

The championship will feature the PDP U-17 Cup for both boys and girls, as well as the PDP U-15 Cup for boys and girls. All matches will take place at the prestigious Bill Gilhespy Soccer Complex, culminating in the four division Finals on Sunday, 18 August.

With Alberta Soccer serving as the Local Organising Committee, volunteers will be crucial to the success of the event. These volunteers contribute significantly to Canada Soccer’s various amateur competitions, from the recently concluded Futsal Canadian Championship held in April to the upcoming Toyota National Championships scheduled for October.

Local residents interested in volunteering can register for the Alberta Soccer Volunteer Program on their official website.

Roles for volunteers are diverse, ranging from assisting with event logistics to ensuring smooth operations during matches. The dedication and support of these volunteers will help create a memorable experience for all participants, coaches, and spectators.
