Alex Albon Collision Lewis Hamilton Las Vegas Grand Prix

Las Vegas, Nevada – Alex Albon received a five-second time penalty during the Las Vegas Grand Prix after causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton on November 23.

The incident occurred early in the race as Albon was vying for position with Hamilton at Turn 14. The contact resulted in front wing damage to Albon’s Williams car, forcing him to pit for repairs and drop to last place.

Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, managed to recover from a starting position of 19th on the grid to be in eighth place by the end of lap 21 of the 50-lap race.

Further complicating Albon’s situation, he also was issued a reprimand for an infringement related to his starting procedure.

The penalties continue to impact Albon’s performance this season, as the competition among drivers intensifies in the final races.
