Altafiber Customers to Access Reds Games via FanDuel This Season

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Altafiber customers will be able to watch Cincinnati Reds games on the FanDuel Sports Network starting this baseball season, following a recent agreement reached by the company. The announcement was made ahead of the Reds’ Opening Day, ensuring fans have access to their favorite team.

The agreement allows Altafiber customers to stream Reds games through its Fioptics+ platform, beginning Friday. This addition is significant as several other TV providers already carry the FanDuel Sports Network, but it was not initially available to Cincinnati viewers.

In January, shortly before the start of the baseball season, the Reds had announced limited access to their games, prompting fans to voice concerns about the availability of local broadcasts. Jason Praeter, president of consumer and small business for Altafiber, acknowledged the importance of the Reds to the local community. “We understand the importance of the Reds to our community, and we are pleased to reach this agreement to carry FanDuel Sports Network Ohio,” Praeter said.

Alongside Reds games, Altafiber’s new agreement also includes coverage for games featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Columbus Blue Jackets. This move is seen as a vital step in enhancing the sports viewing experience for Altafiber customers who desire more local content.

Effective immediately, customers can tune in to channel 27 to watch the FanDuel Sports Network Ohio and enjoy a variety of sporting events delivered through the Fioptics+ platform.
