Amazon Prime Fanduel Sports Network Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. — Amazon Prime has launched a collaboration with FanDuel Sports Network to provide Detroit sports fans with a new streaming option for Pistons, Tigers, and Red Wings games. Starting at $19.99 per month, Prime members can add the network to their subscriptions, enhancing local access to their favorite teams.

The announcement marks a significant shift in how fans can engage with live sports. This bundled service allows unlimited streaming of Detroit’s major sports franchises without the need for traditional cable packages. In addition, single game access is available via the FanDuel app for $6.99.

“We’re thrilled to offer this service to our members, providing an affordable way for them to catch every game,” said a spokesperson for Amazon. The new service comes as fans are increasingly looking for alternatives to expensive cable plans.

With the season set to unfold, the timing is critical for fans eager to watch their teams’ performances. The release of full season and annual pass options is expected soon, expanding viewing opportunities.

FanDuel Sports Network, which took over from Bally Sports Detroit on October 21, 2024, not only broadcasts games but also offers comprehensive coverage including pre- and post-game analysis. This enhances the sports viewing experience and keeps fans informed about their teams.

Streaming options for FanDuel Sports Network are not exclusive to Prime users, as several platforms are also carrying the network. Services such as DIRECTV STREAM and FuboTV provide additional access to local sports programming along with a plethora of other channels. For example, the DIRECTV STREAM Choice Plan, starting at around $115/month, includes over 125 channels and unlimited DVR storage for game recordings.

“Our goal is to give fans the flexibility to enjoy their teams on their own terms,” said a representative from FuboTV, which also offers a Pro Plan for $84.99 monthly that carries over 210 channels.

However, fans outside the Detroit area may encounter regional restrictions. In such cases, utilizing a VPN can provide a workaround by masking a user’s location, thereby granting access to the broadcasts as if they were in the Detroit region.

As the 2025 sports season progresses, it’s clear that fans in Detroit and beyond will have versatile options to not just follow but immerse themselves in the sporting events that matter to them most.
