Major League Baseball Playoffs Predictions 2025

NEW YORK, New York — As Major League Baseball’s playoffs approach, studio analysts on FOX’s ‘Pregame’ show shared their predictions for the 2025 World Series on Saturday.

Analyst predictions sparked discussions on potential champions and matchups. One analyst stated, “The Cubs need to get past Milwaukee and hope that Philadelphia and the Dodgers beat each other up.” Another suggested, “I think, finally, this is the year that has a signature October. I’m going with a rematch of the 2009 World Series, Yankees over the Phillies, World Series MVP Aaron Judge, Yankees in six games.”

The Seattle Mariners, who clinched the AL West title for the first time since 2001, will compete in the American League Division Series against the Tigers. Meanwhile, the New York Yankees face off against the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS after losing the AL East title in a tiebreaker.

In the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers currently hold the No. 3 seed and must advance through the Wild Card Series to face the Philadelphia Phillies, who won 96 games this season. The Milwaukee Brewers, who topped the MLB with 97 wins, are set to play the Chicago Cubs in the Division Series.

As anticipation builds for the postseason, fans eagerly await the outcomes of the matchups. Game 1 of Yankees-Blue Jays is underway, with Game 1 of Tigers-Mariners scheduled for Saturday.
