De’Andre Hunter Cleared to Play After Illness, Boosts Hawks’ Lineup

ATLANTA, Ga. — Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter has been cleared to play in Monday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing Saturday’s matchup due to illness, according to Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network.
Hunter, who sat out the Hawks’ game against the Toronto Raptors, has recovered sufficiently to rejoin the lineup. Since January 1, he has averaged 14.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals over 28.7 minutes per game, making his return a significant boost for the team.
The Hawks also provided updates on other players: Zaccharie Risacher (left adductor strain) is available, while Dyson Daniels (left ankle soreness) and Larry Nance Jr. (right hand surgery; injury management) remain sidelined. The team confirmed the updates via their official Twitter account.
Hunter’s return comes at a crucial time, as the Hawks navigate the absence of star guard Trae Young. With Young sidelined, Hunter is expected to take on an expanded role, potentially increasing his minutes and responsibilities on the court.
Fantasy basketball managers will also welcome Hunter’s availability, as his consistent performance makes him a valuable asset in lineups. His ability to contribute across multiple statistical categories has solidified his importance to both the Hawks and fantasy teams alike.
