Andre Onana, the 28-year-old goalkeeper for Manchester United, has been voted the club’s Player of the Month for September. Onana’s performances throughout the month included two clean sheets and a Man of the Match accolade following a scoreless draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. His actions included a notable double save that staved off efforts from Crystal Palace’s Eddie Nketiah and Ismaila Sarr, which has garnered widespread acclaim.

Despite Manchester United’s missed chances against Crystal Palace, Onana’s key saves were instrumental in maintaining a clean sheet. His performance against Southampton was equally commendable, where he not only achieved a shutout in a 3-0 victory but also made a crucial penalty save from Cameron Archer, which helped turn the tide in Manchester United’s favor.

In the match against Tottenham at Old Trafford, Onana showcased his goalkeeping prowess by denying Timo Werner twice during one-on-one situations, despite the team’s eventual loss. Onana secured 47 percent of the vote for Player of the Month, marking his first award this season.

In the club’s Goal of the Month category, Christian Eriksen emerged as the winner for September. Eriksen, who scored three goals that month, first netted twice in the Carabao Cup against Barnsley and followed up with a spectacular strike in the 1-1 draw against FC Twente. His performance earned him 36 percent of the vote, highlighting the significance of his contributions.

Meanwhile, Manchester United Women’s team, managed by Marc Skinner, is preparing for their upcoming match against Aston Villa on November 10, which has been selected for live coverage on Sky Sports. Having won all three games at the start of the 2024/25 season, the team has shown impressive form including victories over West Ham, Everton, and a recent 2-0 win against Liverpool in the FA Women's League Cup. United Women aim to continue their successful streak in the Women’s Super League (WSL) against Aston Villa, whom they defeated twice last season.

The coverage decisions for the upcoming WSL matches have been announced, with Manchester City set to play Arsenal on November 8, and Liverpool facing Chelsea on November 10, both broadcasted by Sky Sports and BBC respectively.
