Andrej Stojakovic Enters NCAA Transfer Portal After Stellar Season at Cal

Berkeley, CA — Andrej Stojakovic, a standout guard for the California Golden Bears, has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal after a breakout season, according to ESPN. Stojakovic, who averaged 17.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, is seeking his next opportunity as he prepares for his junior year.
In the 2024-25 season, Stojakovic started 28 out of 29 games and shot an impressive 42.7% from the field, along with a 31.8% success rate from three-point range. His exceptional performance earned him All-ACC Honorable Mention honors and made him a candidate for the conference’s Most Improved Player of the Year award.
Stojakovic showcased his talent in the ACC Tournament, delivering a career-best 37-point performance in a loss to Stanford. He connected on 13 of 22 shots, including four out of seven from beyond the arc, while also securing five rebounds. This impressive display capped off a season in which he solidified his status as a key player for the Golden Bears.
Prior to joining California, Stojakovic played his freshman year at Stanford, where he averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 32 games. He was highly regarded as a four-star prospect from Jesuit High School in California, being the No. 24 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle.
California finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 14-19 and struggled with a 6-14 conference mark. Following the season, head coach Mark Madsen emphasized the need for the team to improve in non-conference play. “We have to win more non-conference games,” he stated. “We were up 15, 18 points in the first half on the road and then we didn’t finish the game… We have to be better at Cal, and every team across the conference has to be better with non-conference games.”
As Stojakovic explores his options in the Transfer Portal, speculation arises about the possibility of facing his former team in a non-conference matchup next season. Last offseason, he selected California over other notable programs, indicating his desire for continued development at the collegiate level.
With new transfers joining the program, including Camden, a 6-foot-8 forward from Delaware, the Golden Bears aim to improve their roster and address their defensive weaknesses. Camden averaged 16.6 points and made a significant impact from three-point range at his previous institution.
