Anton Lundell Sparks Florida Panthers in Stanley Cup Final

Sunrise, Florida – Florida Panthers forward Anton Lundell is making waves in the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. As of June 14, 2025, Lundell has recorded five points in the last three games, helping the series reach a tie at two games each.
Reflecting on his recent performance, Lundell said, “I know it’s not normal. You try to kind of soak in everything around here. But at the end of the day, it’s hockey. That’s what I love to do, and that’s what we’re here to do.” His contributions include a crucial goal during a heart-wrenching overtime loss in Game 4, where the Panthers held a 3-0 lead before being outscored by the Oilers.
Throughout this postseason, Lundell has amassed 16 points, including six goals. His impressive plus-minus of +16 has played a vital role in supporting Florida’s playoff run as the team vies for consecutive Stanley Cup championships.
“He’s matured a lot,” commented Panthers defenseman Gustav Forsling about Lundell. “He was mature when he came, but he’s been just growing into playing like a real man and veteran out there. He’s been unreal.” At just 23 years old and drafted by Florida in 2020, Lundell credits his success to learning from veteran players on the team. “It helps a lot to have veteran guys around, especially guys that have been in the league long and won as well,” he said.
The Panthers are set to face the Oilers again in Game 5 on Saturday night in Edmonton, looking to take the lead in the series.
