Arkansas Guard Boogie Fland Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas guard Boogie Fland has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from Joe Tipton of On3. This news comes just days after Fland helped lead the Razorbacks to a 79-72 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on March 20, 2025, at Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, R.I.
CBS Sports‘ Jon Rothstein added that Fland is ‘100% focused on the 2025 NBA Draft’ but wanted to keep his options open by entering the transfer portal. Rothstein reported that Fland has a ‘do not contact’ tag in the portal.
During his freshman season, Fland averaged 13.5 points and 5.1 assists over 21 games. He shined early in the season, averaging over 15 points per game before injuring his thumb during a loss to Florida on January 11. The injury required surgery and sidelined him for the final 15 regular-season games, though he managed to return in time for the NCAA tournament.
Last week, Arkansas fans felt more clarity regarding the team’s roster after several players confirmed their intentions to return next season. Notably, announcements were made through a video on social media, which also highlighted recent commitments from transfer portal prospects. The athletic department subsequently released information confirming that these new players had officially signed with the Razorbacks.
