125th Army-Navy Game: Everything You Need to Know for the 2024 Matchup
The 125th edition of the Army–Navy game is set to take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. This historic rivalry, which has been ongoing since 1880, will be held near Washington D.C. for only the second time in its history, with the previous instance being in 2011.
The game will feature No. 22 Army, with a record of 11-1, having lost only to Notre Dame, against Navy, which stands at 8-3. Navy leads the all-time series 62-55-7, but Army has won the past two games and six of the last eight.
Northwest Stadium, formerly known as FedEx Field and home of the Washington Commanders, has a capacity of 67,617. The stadium is about 30 minutes from both Washington D.C. and Annapolis, the capital of Maryland and home to the United States Naval Academy.
Leading up to the game, several events will take place. On Friday, December 13, the Army-Navy Game block party will be held at The Yards in Washington D.C., featuring live entertainment, games, and a fireworks display. The Patriot Games, including a tug of war and a pull-up challenge, will also occur on the National Mall. A debate match between West Point Cadets and Navy Midshipmen on the topic of which military branch should receive a $500 million budget increase will be held at the Russell Senate Office Building.
The game will kick off at 3 p.m. EST and will be televised nationally on CBS, with coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. with College Football Today. It will also be streamed live on Paramount+ and broadcast on over 300 Westwood One radio affiliates and SIRIUSXM Channel 84.
Notable attendees expected at the game include President-elect Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. A flyover by four F/A-18F Super Hornets from the Jolly Rogers of VFA-103 is scheduled just before kickoff.
