Arsenal Vs Brentford Premier League Match

London, England – Arsenal FC has announced a revamped starting lineup ahead of their Premier League match against Brentford at Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.

Kieran Tierney returns to the starting XI for Arsenal, marking his first league start since May 2023. The Gunners have made five modifications to the side that defeated Real Madrid 2-0 on Tuesday. Joining Tierney in the lineup are Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho, and Ethan Nwaneri. Missing from the midweek match are Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard, Jurrien Timber, Mikel Merino, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, all of whom will start on the bench.

Declan Rice, who scored twice against Real Madrid, retains his spot in the lineup, while Jorginho takes on the captaincy role in midfield. Trossard, who found the net in Arsenal’s previous league match against Everton—a 1-1 draw—takes over the attacking duties from Merino.

Ben White is absent from the squad entirely, but 21-year-old midfielder Jack Henry-Francis, who has been on loan at Sligo Rovers, makes an appearance on the bench.

Brentford, in contrast, played to a goalless draw against Chelsea last weekend. Their manager, Thomas Frank, makes just one adjustment to the lineup, bringing in Vitaly Janelt to replace Yehor Yarmoliuk in midfield.

The full lineup for Arsenal includes: David Raya, Thomas Partey, William Saliba, Jakub Kiwior, Kieran Tierney, Jorginho (captain), Declan Rice, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard.

Substitutes for the Gunners are: Neto, Timber, Lewis-Skelly, Henry-Francis, Ødegaard, Saka, Raheem Sterling, and Mikel Merino.

Brentford’s lineup features: Mark Flekken, Sepp van den Berg, Mathias Jørgensen, Ethan Pinnock, Brennan Johnson, Christian Nørgaard (captain), Kevin Schade, Vitaly Janelt, Yoane Wissa, and Mikkel Damsgaard.

The Bees’ substitutes include: Andreas Valdimarsson, Rico Henry, Ethan Pinnock, Matthias Jensen, Pontus Jansson, Yehor Yarmoliuk, Kevin Konak, Joshua Kayode, and João Nunes.

This Premier League clash is expected to have major implications for both teams in their pursuit of league standings and European qualification.
