Arsenal Women Football Team Warmup Session

London, England — Arsenal Women’s head coach Renée Slegers has announced three significant changes to her starting lineup ahead of tonight’s Barclays Women’s Super League match against Everton at Walton Hall Park. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:45 PM GMT and will be available for viewing on the Barclays WSL YouTube channel.

Returning to action, Manuela Zinsberger will take her position in goal for the first time since Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over London City Lionesses in the FA Cup. Zinsberger replaces Daphne van Domselaar, who is sidelined due to a concussion. “It’s great to have Manu back in the goal; her experience will be vital for us,” Slegers commented during a pre-match briefing.

Chloe Kelly, who was cup-tied in their last match, returns to the starting XI. She will be paired on the wing with Caitlin Foord, adding offensive depth to the squad. “Chloe’s energy and ability to beat defenders will be key against Everton,” Slegers added.

Another notable change comes in midfield where Lia Walti steps in for Kyra Cooney-Cross. Walti will join captain Kim Little in a double pivot role, reinforcing the team’s central strength as they aim to dominate possession against Everton. The remaining players in the lineup from last weekend’s fixture against Liverpool are Emily Fox, Leah Williamson, Steph Catley, and Katie McCabe, completing the back four alongside Zinsberger.

The complete Arsenal starting XI includes Zinsberger, Fox, Williamson, Catley, McCabe, Little (C), Walti, Kelly, Mariona, Frida Maanum, and Alessia Russo. The substitutes are Lydia Williams, Amanda Ilestedt, Riley Nighswonger, Cooney-Cross, Anna Pelova, Foord, Beth Mead, Lina Hurtig, and Stina Blackstenius.

Despite a few minor injuries, the team looks to carry momentum into this match, having maintained its competitive edge despite recent setbacks. “We know Everton will be a challenge, but our focus is on executing our game plan and showing our improvement,” stated Little.
