Silverstone, England — Aston Martin has officially launched its Driver Academy, announcing Formula 3 racer Mari Boya as its first signing. This initiative aims to identify and nurture emerging driving talent for the upper levels of motorsport.

Boya, who is currently racing for Campos Racing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, has shown promise with a podium finish in Monaco earlier this season. The 21-year-old from Spain has a rich background in karting, where he secured three national championships before making the leap to single-seaters.

Since transitioning to Formula 3 in 2023, Boya has continued to impress, achieving a notable Sprint Race victory in 2024 and currently standing 13th in the championship standings. He expressed excitement about joining the Aston Martin family, stating, “Joining the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Driver Academy is a dream come true. It’s a unique opportunity to learn from a team with so much ambition in Formula One.”

The academy promises a comprehensive development program, including physical training, media coaching, and access to race weekends for real-world experience. Team Principal Andy Cowell highlighted Boya’s potential, mentioning his “strong track record and determined mindset.”

In addition to Boya, Aston Martin will partner with DPK Racing to bolster its talent development efforts. The collaboration is expected to enhance scouting abilities across various motorsports, from karting to professional racing.

As Boya prepares for the upcoming round at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, he aims to leverage the academy’s resources to further his skills. “My focus now is to repay the team’s trust with strong performances,” he added.
