Atharva Taide Sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025 Mega Auction

Atharva Taide, a promising young cricketer, has been acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

<p-Taide, who has been making waves with his batting skills, was sold for his base price of INR 30 lakhs. He is known for his quick run-scoring abilities at the top of the order and was the leading run-getter for Vidarbha in the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT).

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who retained key players like Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Henrich Klassen, and Nitish Kumar Reddy ahead of the auction, have bolstered their squad with the addition of Taide. The team also made significant purchases, including Mohammad Shami for INR 10 crore and Travis Head for INR 14 crore.

The IPL 2025 mega auction saw a total of 577 players up for bidding, with 367 of them being Indian players. The auction is a crucial event for teams to shape their squads for the upcoming season.
