Atlanta Falcons Sign Veteran Edge Rusher Morgan Fox

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have secured a veteran presence on their defensive line by signing edge rusher Morgan Fox to a two-year contract worth up to $8.5 million, as reported by NFL Media on March 14, 2025.
Fox, 30, joins the Falcons after spending the previous three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he has established himself as a reliable rotational defender. In 2024, he made appearances in all 17 games, recording 3.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits.
During his time with the Chargers, he participated in 53 percent of defensive snaps and 17 percent of special teams snaps. Fox has demonstrated impressive durability, having not missed a game since recovering from a torn ACL injury sustained during the offseason in 2018.
After entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams in 2016, Fox found a path to success, eventually signing with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. He later returned to Los Angeles and contributed to a defensive unit that allowed the fewest points in the league during the 2024 season.
Throughout his career, Fox has made a significant impact in 120 games, accumulating 27.5 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, and 51 quarterback hits. He previously played for the Rams, where he managed 6.0 sacks in 2020, earning a contract extension with the Panthers.
The Falcons hope Fox’s experience and skill set will bolster their defensive line as they prepare for the upcoming season.
