Atlanta United Match Mercedes Benz Stadium

ATLANTA (April 11, 2025) – Atlanta United is set to welcome the New England Revolution for a crucial MLS match this Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Both teams will take the field at 2:30 p.m. ET as Atlanta looks to secure vital points after a recent draw.

Midfielders Pedro Amador and Alexey Miranchuk are healthy and ready to play for the 5-Stripes after overcoming recent injuries. Amador returns from a quad injury that sidelined him for the last two matches, while Miranchuk dealt with a minor knock but made a substitute appearance against FC Dallas last week.

“I’m happy with what’s going on on the field,” Miranchuk told reporters on Thursday. “In terms of offense and creating chances, of course, we should score more goals and passes. We’ve got moments; we have opportunities, so that’s most important.”

Last weekend, Miranchuk scored his first goal of the season during a 4-3 victory over New York City FC. His ability to create scoring opportunities will be crucial as Atlanta aims to find their attacking rhythm against New England.

Atlanta United head coach Ronny Deila has emphasized improving the team’s offensive consistency as they enter the eighth matchday of the season. “We have to get things to fit,” Deila said. “We need to make sure the picture on the pitch is the best it can be.”

The 5-Stripes have seen a strong attacking presence this season, particularly from forward Latte Lath, who leads the team with five goals in as many matches. Fans are hopeful that the chemistry and performance of key players will culminate in a solid showing against a struggling New England side.

New England has faced challenges this season, with only one win across their first six matches. They have historically struggled at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Atlanta boasts a 5-1-2 record against the Revolution.

In terms of defense, Atlanta is focused on containing New England’s star midfielder, Carles Gil. The former MVP has been instrumental for the Revolution, contributing to two of their three goals this season. The 5-Stripes’ defense must remain vigilant to prevent Gil from influencing the match.

“We need to keep our defensive focus and shape for the full 90 minutes,” Deila said. “Any individual errors or mental lapses can prove costly.”

As anticipation builds for Saturday’s match, fans can look forward to the opening of the stadium roof—an exciting addition to the game-day atmosphere. This match is also set to celebrate Black excellence, featuring performances from the Morehouse Glee Club and a drumline during the event.

With the atmosphere poised to be electric, Atlanta United fans hope for a standout performance as the team seeks their first win against New England this season.
