Oscar ‘Prof’ Ortega, Atletico Madrid‘s legendary fitness coach, has revealed that he will be leaving the club after 15 seasons. This announcement comes amidst concerns over the increased number of muscular injuries that players have experienced over the past year.

In a video shared by the club’s official account, Ortega expressed his gratitude to Atletico for the opportunities he was given, including the chance to work with the national team of his home country, Uruguay. He mentioned that this decision was made after careful consideration and discussions with Atletico manager Diego Simeone.

“I am very grateful to Atlético de Madrid because they gave me the opportunity to experiment and work in the national team in my country, that for me it was a different professional moment, that does not have a definition,” said Ortega.
