Background Actor Sues Mia Goth For Alleged Intentional Head Kick On Set Of 'maxxxine'

A background actor has filed a lawsuit against actress Mia Goth, accusing her of intentionally kicking him in the head during the filming of the upcoming horror film ‘MaXXXine.’ The lawsuit was filed by James Hunter in Los Angeles Superior Court and also includes A24, the film’s distributor, and director Ti West as defendants. Hunter claims he was wrongfully terminated from the project.

According to the complaint, Hunter was hired to portray a ‘dead parishioner’ lying in fake blood. During one of the scenes last April, Goth nearly stepped on his head while running past him. Hunter reported this incident, but in a subsequent take, Goth allegedly deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot. This resulted in an immediate headache and stiffness in his neck. Hunter claims that after the scene, Goth mocked and taunted him, daring him to take any action.

Hunter states that he reported the injury to the production crew, who informed West and Goth, but he was not offered any medical assistance. Following the incident, Hunter was diagnosed with a concussion after seeking medical attention at a hospital. The next day, his casting agency informed him that he was not wanted back on set.

‘MaXXXine’ is the final installment in Ti West’s slasher trilogy, preceded by ‘X’ and its prequel ‘Pearl.’ The film is currently in post-production and does not have a scheduled release date yet. Goth, who also played the series’ villain, Pearl, will reprise her role as Maxine.
