Bafana Bafana Coach Hugo Broos Stresses Quality in European-Based Player Selection
Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has reiterated the importance of quality in the selection of South African players based in Europe.
Since his appointment in May 2021, Broos has primarily focused on local talent for the national team.
However, he has stated that he will only consider European-based players if they demonstrate a higher level of performance.
Broos, who arrived in Johannesburg for his role nearly three years ago, highlighted the need for excellence in the squad.
He firmly believes that South African players in Europe must showcase a superior level of skill to earn a spot in Bafana Bafana.
