Los Angeles, CA — Free agent center Mo Bamba has signed a 10-day contract with the team, as announced by his agents Mark Bartelstein and Greer Love through ESPN.

At 26 years old, Bamba initially signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers before the start of the current NBA season. During his time with the Lakers, he appeared in 28 games, making two starts. His performance included a career-high shooting percentage of 62% on two-point attempts. Bamba also averaged 1.3 blocks per game, while his overall shooting from beyond the arc reached 36% for his career.

After being released by the Utah Jazz, Bamba played three games for the New Orleans PelicansG League affiliate. There, he showed impressive numbers, averaging 20 points and 13.3 rebounds per game, showcasing his capability and prompting interest from teams in the NBA.

Selected as the No. 6 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Bamba has had a varied career so far, spending time with teams including the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Los Angeles Clippers throughout his seven seasons in the league. His signing indicates a potential comeback as he aims to solidify his position in the NBA.
