Barça Atlètic Secure Victory Against Real Sociedad B

Barça Atlètic have defeated Real Sociedad B 2-1 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in an exciting match. This victory serves as revenge for their earlier loss against Real Sociedad B this season. The game witnessed intensity and resulted in red cards for Ibrahima Camara from the visitors and Mikayil Faye from the home side. Diego Percan and Jaume Cuéllar secured the 2-0 lead for Barça Atlètic before Jon Merino pulled one back for Real Sociedad B.

Barça Atlètic now climbs to sixth place in their division, leveling the points with the team they defeated today.

In the first half, the best chances were created by Bolivian international Jaume Cuéllar, but the Real Sociedad B goalkeeper outwitted him in a one-on-one situation. The turning point came towards the end of the first half when Camara was shown a red card for a last-man tackle. However, Mikayil Faye’s penalty for Barça Atlètic was saved, resulting in a corner kick.

Playing against ten men, Barça Atlètic capitalized on their advantage. A brilliant combination between Pau Víctor and Diego Percan led to the opening goal. Just three minutes later, a spectacular assist from Pau Víctor allowed Jaume Cuéllar to extend the lead successfully.

In the second half, Barça Atlètic dominated the game. Diego Percan came close to scoring his second goal on two occasions. However, the match took a different turn when Barça Atlètic also had a player sent off. Mikayil Faye, who made his return to the starting eleven, brought down Bryan Fiabema when he was about to shoot, leading to his dismissal.

Upon losing a player, Real Sociedad B attacked fiercely in search of a comeback. They managed to reduce the deficit when Jon Merino scored with a header from a free kick. Suddenly, Barça Atlètic faced a nervier ending, but they managed to hold their ground and secured three crucial points.
