Barcelona Duo Suspended For Real Mallorca Clash

Barcelona will face Real Mallorca without Ronald Araujo and Xavi after the duo picked up suspensions against Athletic Club in a recent La Liga clash.

Araujo’s fifth yellow card of the season will see him sit out the upcoming match, giving him some rest ahead of the Napoli clash next week. Xavi, the Barcelona coach, will also be absent due to his fifth booking, serving a one-match ban.

Regarding his penchant for bookings, Xavi shared, ‘I will try not to receive the fifth card. It’s my way of living football, I’m passionate.’

As for player availability, Barcelona might also be missing De Jong, who suffered an ankle injury during their recent fixture.
