Barcelona, Spain – In a thrilling UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg on April 30, 2025, Barcelona and Inter Milan played to a dramatic 3-3 draw at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc. The match saw both teams showcasing their offensive prowess in a captivating start to the two-legged tie.

Marcus Thuram scored the fastest goal in Champions League semifinal history just 30 seconds into the match, executing a cheeky back-heel flick to give Inter an early lead. Twenty minutes later, Denzel Dumfries extended the visitors’ advantage with an acrobatic volley from a corner kick, making it 2-0.

However, Barcelona soon mounted a response, sparked by the young talent Lamine Yamal, who scored a stunning solo goal just three minutes later. Ferran Torres leveled the match at 3-3 just before halftime with a close-range finish after a precise assist from Raphinha.

Inter regained the lead in the second half when Dumfries headed home from another corner in the 64th minute, but Barcelona answered quickly again. A fierce strike from outside the box by an unnamed player deflected off Inter’s goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, and into the net, ensuring both teams exited the match with a point.

The intensity of the match was palpable, with both teams constantly pressuring each other. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick expressed confidence but acknowledged the need to tighten up the defense before the second leg, set for May 6 at San Siro in Milan.

“We can’t concede that many goals, especially at home,” Flick told Movistar Plus. “We will try to correct the mistakes and grab the win in Milan.”

Despite the draw, Barcelona is in a strong position to pursue a treble, currently leading La Liga by four points and having recently won the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.

The second leg promises to be an exciting encounter, as both teams aim for a place in the final, which will take place in Munich later this month.
