FC Barcelona Presents Espai Barça Project at ESSMA Conference
The Espai Barça project was showcased at the ESSMA conference, a leading event in the stadiums industry. Raul Alvarez, the Technical Area manager of Espai Barça, presented the project’s technical aspects and highlighted its unique features and the major transformation it will bring to FC Barcelona‘s installations in the Les Corts neighborhood.
Espai Barça aims to improve the integration of the stadium within the neighborhood and city, promote sustainable and socially responsible mobility, and implement measures for environmental protection. This ambitious project seeks to update the club’s facilities, create new spaces, and generate additional revenue.
During the presentation, attendees and sector experts were shown renders of the future Spotify Camp Nou and the different new spaces. Alvarez also shared details about the stadium’s design, including the new VIP rings located between the second and third tiers, the Barça Hub entry point, and the preservation of the iconic 1957 façade through the GAP.
The ESSMA conference, held at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, gathered members from various leagues and federations in the stadiums industry. It provided an opportunity for participants to learn about the progress of Espai Barça, with construction already underway for the new third tier of the stadium.
