Barnsley Fc's Callum Styles Makes History At Euro 2020

On a historic night for Barnsley FC, Callum Styles etched his name into the record books at the European Championships. The 24-year-old midfielder, hailing from Barnsley FC, marked his debut in the prestigious tournament representing Hungary.

Styles had initially been sidelined due to an injury but finally got his chance to shine in Hungary’s clash against Scotland after being an unused substitute in their earlier matches against Germany and Switzerland.

On the pitch, the game against Scotland proved eventful for Styles. Within just 18 minutes, he found his way into the referee’s book for a rash challenge on Scotland’s John McGinn, the prominent midfielder from Aston Villa.

Despite the early booking, Styles showcased his talent and determination on the field. However, he was eventually substituted in the 61st minute of the match as Hungary pushed for a decisive victory.

With this appearance, Callum Styles becomes the first-ever player from Barnsley FC to feature in the European Championships, representing both his club and country on the grand stage of international football.

As Hungary secured a late, dramatic win against Scotland, Styles and his teammates now have three crucial points in the group stage. Their fate hangs on the line as they await the final results to determine if they progress to the knockout stages as one of the top four third-placed teams in the tournament.
