Baylor Men's Basketball Vs San Diego State

Las Vegas, Nev. – Baylor University‘s men’s basketball team will meet San Diego State University for the first time since 2011 tonight in the Players Era Tournament at 9:30 PM Central Time. The game is being held at Michelob ULTRA Arena and will be broadcast on truTV and streamed on HBO Max.

The Baylor Bears (4-1) are looking to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season, a 96-81 setback against No. 14 St. John's. In that game, Baylor’s Cam Carr scored 27 points, leading the team for the fourth time this season.

Baylor’s last meeting with San Diego State (3-2) resulted in a 77-67 victory for the Bears in Waco, Texas, over a decade ago. Overall, the Aztecs lead the all-time series 3-2, with their first matchup dating back to 1981.

Despite facing San Diego State’s challenging defense, Baylor aims to capitalize on its earlier success in the tournament, where they defeated Creighton 81-74. The Bears out-rebounded the Bluejays 45-28, a key factor in securing their first victory during the tournament.

Fans can tune in to Baylor Sports Media Network for radio coverage, featuring the Voice of the Bears, Pat Nunley. With a mix of veteran and emerging talent, Baylor hopes to deliver a strong performance against the Aztecs.

As the tournament progresses, both teams are looking to secure a spot in the championship match, making tonight’s game critical for both programs.
