Bbc Cymru Wales To Broadcast Wales' Euro 2025 Qualifiers Live

BBC Cymru Wales has announced its exclusive live coverage of Wales’ Euro 2025 qualifying games, showcasing a commitment to women’s national football. These broadcasts will mark the debut of former Canadian player Rhian Wilkinson as the head coach of Wales.

Commencing on Friday 5 April at Wrexham‘s historic STōK Cae Ras, Wales will face Croatia in the campaign opener. BBC One Wales will air the game live on Match of the Day Wales at 7.15pm, with presenters Catrin Heledd, Nia Jones, and Katie Sherwood providing expert analysis.

Following this, the team will head to Kosovo for their next fixture, scheduled for four days later. BBC Two Wales will cover the action from Podujevo, starting at 1pm.

Completing the qualifying group, Ukraine will challenge Wales on Friday 31 May at Llanelli‘s Parc y Scarlets. The venue, previously used during the 2019 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, will also host Wales’ final game against Kosovo on Tuesday 16 July.

Rhuanedd Richards, Director of BBC Cymru Wales, expressed excitement about the coverage, emphasizing the network’s commitment to the women’s national team and eagerness to follow Rhian Wilkinson and her squad through the qualifying journey.

Rhian Wilkinson, the new head coach, brings a wealth of experience from her time as a Canadian international and her coaching stint with Portland Thorns. She takes over from Gemma Grainger, who departed in January.

In addition to TV coverage, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru will provide live commentary, while BBC Sport online and Cymru Fyw will offer supplementary coverage.
