Black Desert Championship 2024

The Black Desert Championship, taking place in Ivins, Utah, commences on Thursday morning, marking the first PGA Tour event in the state since 1963. The championship has garnered attention with Beau Hossler seeking his first-ever PGA Tour win after nearly clinching victory at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship.

During the Sanderson Farms Championship, Hossler narrowly missed his maiden win, falling short in a playoff against Kevin Yu. This week, Hossler aims to change his fortunes at the Black Desert Championship, hoping to capture that elusive victory. He is scheduled to tee off at 10:07 a.m. ET on Thursday in the first round.

Golf enthusiasts can watch the first round of the championship on Golf Channel, which starts coverage at 5 p.m. ET. Additionally, ESPN+ will provide exclusive featured group coverage starting at 10 a.m. ET. The event will also be available for streaming on the NBC Sports website and app for those with active cable subscriptions.

The Black Desert Championship is part of the FedExCup Fall series, hosted at the scenic Black Desert Resort. This resort is notably positioned within a lava field, providing a unique backdrop for the tournament.

Tee times for Thursday have been announced with groups beginning on both the first and tenth tees. Notable pairings on Tee No. 1 include Kevin Streelman alongside S.H. Kim and Scott Gutschewski at 9:40 a.m. ET, and Lee Hodges with Trey Mullinax and Chad Ramey at 10:13 a.m. ET. Meanwhile, Tee No. 10 will see Ryan Moore paired with Patrick Rodgers and Kelly Kraft at 9:56 a.m. ET.

This inaugural event has attracted significant attention, with PGA Tour veterans and rising stars participating. In addition to Hossler, players like Kevin Chappell, Nick Taylor, and S.Y. Noh will also compete, each hoping to make their mark on the challenging course.
