Beauceron Joshua Roy to Make NHL Debut with Canadiens
Joshua Roy, a young hockey player from Saint-Georges, will be making his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday evening. The team has called up the Beauceron forward to face off against the Edmonton Oilers at the Bell Centre.
Roy, who has been performing well for the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, has recorded an impressive 12 goals and 18 assists in 34 games this season. During the morning practice, he was seen skating alongside Sean Monahan and Joel Armia, forming a potentially impactful line for the team.
Expressing his excitement, Roy mentioned that he is thrilled to step on the NHL ice for a regular-season game. He intends to approach the match as he would any other and give it his all.
The game is set to begin at 7 PM, and the Canadiens will be looking to bounce back from recent losses to the Philadelphia Flyers and the San Jose Sharks.
