Big Ten Network Announces 2024-25 Wrestling Broadcast Schedule
The Big Ten Network has unveiled its broadcast schedule for the 2024-25 wrestling season, as the prestigious wrestling conference aims to secure its 18th consecutive NCAA Championship. The schedule includes 24 dual meets and extensive coverage of the Big Ten Wrestling Championships, all available live on the Big Ten Network and the FOX Sports App. In addition, over 80 matches will be streamed on B1G+, the conference’s subscription service.
Coverage kicks off on Saturday, November 9, with a highly anticipated clash in Iowa City where No. 2 Iowa will host No. 15 Stanford. As the conference competition heats up, the first Big Ten match on BTN is set for December 6, featuring No. 12 Illinois versus No. 30 Indiana.
Key matchups in January include a primetime doubleheader on January 10. At 6 p.m. Eastern Time, No. 14 Michigan will take on No. 27 Maryland. This will be followed by Michigan State facing No. 1 Penn State at 8 p.m. Future highlights of the season include a face-off between top-ranked Penn State and second-ranked Iowa on January 31 at 7 p.m.
The schedule features a tripleheader on February 7, with Penn State against Michigan at 6 p.m., Nebraska meeting Iowa at 8 p.m., and Wisconsin battling Purdue at 10 p.m. To close the conference schedule on BTN, Purdue will host Nebraska on February 23 at 6:30 p.m., followed by Iowa taking on Oklahoma State in a non-conference match at 8:30 p.m.
B1G+, BTN’s subscription platform, will offer additional coverage including events like the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships and the Soldier Salute, as well as supplementary content during the Big Ten Wrestling Championships. Subscriptions are available for $89.99 annually or $12.99 monthly.
Further engagement will be provided through “On The Mat,” a BTN series offering behind-the-scenes access to Big Ten wrestling. Fans can also stay informed via @B1GWrestling on social media platforms such as X, Instagram, and YouTube.
According to Intermat’s preseason rankings, the Big Ten boasts 12 teams within the top 30. Penn State leads the rankings as the defending national champion, followed by Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Minnesota among the top contenders.
