Bill Burr to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ Post-Election Episode with Mk.gee as Musical Guest
Comedian-actor Bill Burr is set to host the first ‘Saturday Night Live‘ episode following the 2024 presidential election. This episode, scheduled for November 9, will mark Burr’s second time hosting the show, having previously hosted in 2020.
Burr, who is currently on his ‘Bill Burr Live’ tour, will be joined by musical guest Mk.gee, a guitarist, producer, and vocalist. Mk.gee will be making his debut appearance on the show and is currently touring in support of his first album, ‘Two Star & The Dream Police’.
In addition to Burr’s hosting stint, the following week’s episode on November 16 will feature Charli XCX, who will pull double duty as both host and musical guest. This will be Charli XCX’s first time hosting ‘SNL,’ although she has appeared twice previously as a musical guest.
This announcement comes as part of the 50th season of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ which has already seen notable appearances, including John Mulaney hosting and Chappell Roan as the musical guest on November 2.
Burr is also expected to appear in a revival of ‘Glengarry Glen Ross‘ on Broadway this spring, alongside Kieran Culkin and Bobby Odenkirk.
