Billy Joel Announces Toronto Concert After a Decade
Legendary musician Billy Joel is set to perform at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on March 15, 2025. This concert marks Joel’s first performance in Toronto in over a decade and will be his only Canadian appearance in 2025. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase to the general public starting October 25 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Fans with American Express cards will have presale access on October 21, also beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
Billy Joel, known as “The Piano Man,” has a storied career dating back to his first album, “Cold Spring Harbor,” in 1971. Since then, he has released twelve more studio albums, multiple live albums, and several compilations, with record sales exceeding 160 million worldwide. Joel is celebrated for iconic tracks such as “Piano Man,” “We Didn't Start the Fire,” “Uptown Girl,” and “New York State of Mind.”
This upcoming Toronto concert will also be Joel’s return to the Rogers Centre after a 30-year hiatus, with his last performance at the venue occurring on March 29, 1995. Joel is the sixth best-selling recording artist and the fourth best-selling solo artist globally. His list of accolades includes 23 Grammy nominations with six wins, induction into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, as well as a Tony Award for “Movin’ Out,” a Broadway show featuring his music.
Most recently, in July, Joel concluded his acclaimed residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where he performed 150 monthly concerts starting in January 2014. The residency further cemented Joel’s standing as a significant figure in the music industry.
Joel’s return to Toronto is part of a wave of major artists planning concerts in the city, with Coldplay and Metallica also scheduling appearances in 2025. Toronto music fans will have a dynamic year ahead with these high-profile performances.
