Boca Juniors Vs Huracán 2025 La Bombonera

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Boca Juniors and Huracán played to a hard-fought 0-0 draw on Sunday night at La Bombonera, as both teams continued their search for their first victory in the 2025 Torneo Apertura. The match, which kicked off at 7:15 p.m. local time, saw missed opportunities and strong defensive performances, leaving fans on edge until the final whistle.

Boca Juniors, under the guidance of coach Fernando Gago, entered the match with two consecutive draws in the tournament. The team aimed to secure its first win of the season but struggled to break through Huracán’s resilient defense. Huracán, managed by Frank Darío Kudelka, also came into the game with two draws and sought to climb the standings in the competitive Zona A.

The first half saw a clear chance for Boca’s star striker Edinson Cavani, whose powerful shot was expertly saved by Huracán goalkeeper Hernán Galíndez. “Cavani had a clear chance, but Galíndez made a fantastic save to keep us in the game,” said Gago in a post-match interview. The Uruguayan forward, who joined Boca earlier this year, has yet to score in the Apertura, adding pressure to the team’s attack.

Huracán’s defense, led by Marco Pellegrino and Fabio Pereyra, held firm against Boca’s relentless pressure. The visitors also had their moments, with Erik Ramírez and Leonardo Gil testing Boca’s goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín, who made his debut for the club. Marchesín, a recent signing from Grêmio, earned applause from the home crowd for his quick reflexes and composure under pressure.

Despite the lack of goals, the match was not short of drama. Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing minutes, but neither could find the back of the net. “It was a tough game, and we knew it would be,” said Kudelka. “Boca is a strong team, but we showed we can compete at this level.”

The draw leaves Boca Juniors in the middle of the table, while Huracán remains just outside the top eight. Both teams will look to bounce back in their next matches as they aim to climb the standings and challenge for the Apertura title.
