Bologna Continue Winning Streak With Victory Over Verona

Bologna surged to fourth place in the Serie A standings with a convincing 2-0 victory over struggling Hellas Verona in Friday’s match. The win solidified Bologna’s position with 48 points from 26 games, placing them ahead of Atalanta and within reach of AC Milan, who is in third place.

Giovanni Fabbian opened the scoring for Bologna in the 27th minute, capitalizing on a corner to find the back of the net. Following a VAR review, the goal was confirmed, giving Bologna a well-deserved lead.

Midfielder Remo Freuler extended Bologna’s advantage with a clinical finish just after the hour mark, marking his first goal for the team since joining on loan from Premier League side Nottingham Forest in September.

With their victory over Verona, Bologna has now secured five consecutive wins in Serie A, a feat they haven’t achieved since May 1967 when they enjoyed a six-game winning streak. The team’s exceptional form sets the stage for an upcoming clash with Atalanta on 3 March, promising an exciting showdown.
